Day 8 - Departure

Do I have to go?

Thursday, 6th December 2018

I have spent the past week living in the moment and taking it all in, as I knew when this day came I would want to do it all again! I was not wrong.

With plenty of equipment to return to Kate’s office in Canberra, we played a big game of Tetris to pack the trailer.

Lots to pack!

Tetris going well.

Just one of the cars loaded up.

Once all was packed up, we said our farewells and hit the road, bound for the airport.

I love the sign on Birrigai's mailbox!

Goodbye Birrigai!

I am so grateful to Earthwatch, BHP and the Australian Government for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this Bush Blitz TeachLive experience. This past week has been 100 times better than I ever could have imagined and the impact on my students back in Hervey Bay, myself and my future students is incalculable! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
