After the Expedition

What we learnt while Mrs Rogers was away

This lesson will be a summary of all the things that I learnt and saw while away.  After watching a powerpoint presentation, the students will construct an aspirator and go out into the school playground to collect insects and spiders.

Before the Expedition

Where I'm going, What Bush Blitz is, and What I'm looking for.

Explain to the students using the Introductory powerpoint where the Bush blitz is located.   Watch the youtube video explaining the role and importance of the Bush Blitz program.

Distribute the Bush blitz Vocabulary list and the Species list.  Have the students create species description cards to be used as identification in the field.

Create a Bush Blitz display board with species description cards and definitions.  The students will update the board with photos from the blog whilst I'm away.
